Antonio Brown wants out and he’s heading to a new team. The Buffalo Bills have emerged victorious in the Brown sweepstakes. Brown will stay on the east coast and head to Buffalo. Josh Allen has a new number one receiver.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network was the first to report the news:
Brown, 30, will bring his existing contract to Buffalo. Brown is owed $38.9 million over the course of the next 3 years. The Steelers will eat $21.12 million in dead cap this year for trading Brown. This move will save the Steelers next to nothing this year but free up a bunch of money next year. Pittsburgh only has $6 million in projected cap space.
Antonio Brown now gets to pair with Josh Allen. A man who was the least accurate quarterback in the NFL a year ago. Allen completed just 52.8 percent of his throws. Can Allen improve? Sure, but his accuracy at the moment is shaky at best.
For what it’s worth, Brown seems pissed
12:23 A.M. Eastern Time: As of now, we have no details on the potential trade package so I’m going to bed and will finish the post once the details have been released.
