NBA Street Vol 2 is still one of the best video games ever created. It’s a damn shame none of the street legends never made it to the NBA. The more time that goes on, the more we need to recognize the filthiest shooter in basketball history. No, not Steph Curry. Whitewater couldn’t miss if he tried!
Stretch Monroe was always a staple you needed on every NBA street team. Whitewater was always the next pick. The man just made it rain. He was named Whitewater for a reason. The man is white and his shot is wet. Hence the name. Put that man anywhere on the court. He’s sinking that shot.
Of course, there’s no goal tending in NBA street so sometimes his shot got blocked. That was really the only downside. Still, if you got good at creating defense into offense, Whitewater was THE man in NBA Street. Every time you made your way to Portland Oregon, you got a little nervous because the shot was going in every time facing him.
Look at the way the NBA is today. If you can’t shoot, you’re almost irrelevant. Whitewater was the stretch four before it was ever a thing. If Davis Bertans can get $80 million, Whitewater is worth the max. No question about it.
Whitewater deserves more recognition. That man was a different beast and might be responsible for the three ball revolution. if he ever makes the jump to the NBA… look out.
