Remember that post that I called Ryan Poles an uneducated slob? Well, there’s another portion of that video that needs to be talked about. It sure seems like the Bears had Rome Odunze rated as a better prospect than Marvin Harrison Jr.
If you rewatch this disgusting video again where someone should have slapped Poles for being a slob, you will notice what Ian Cunningham says.
“Number one and number two player though,”
Translation: Caleb Williams was number one on their board. Rome Odunze was the second rated player on their board. What else could it possibly mean? I’m not sure we need Google translate for this one.
Okay, look. I like Rome Odunze a lot. I just think you’re insane if you think he’s better than Marv. Based on the draft history of Poles, let’s go with he’s just dumb and doesn’t actually know how this stuff works. We’re talking about the same guy who gave up a second round pick for Chase Claypool and drafted Velus Jones (who sucks) in the third round. Let’s pump the brakes on any idea that Poles knows what he’s doing here.
For those who would like to see my wide receiver rankings from the 2024 NFL Draft, that link is right here. Again, I like Odunze a lot. I just think you’re an insane person if you think he’s better than Marv. Can we just leave it at that?
