Awful Announcing Publishes A Must-Read Blog About Nepotism In Sports

If you do nothing else today, I encourage you to read this blog that was recently published by Awful Announcing. It goes into great detail regarding this issue of nepotism in sports. It’s a problem that continues to plague the sports media industry and it’s about damn time that somebody starts talking about it.

One of the examples in the post is about Jac Collinsworth, whom I recently just did a post about. The apple didn’t fall far from the tree. Jac sucks as a broadcaster and so does daddy. The problem is Jac only has his job because of who daddy is. It’s disgusting and I’m glad someone else is speaking out about this.

I really encourage you to read the post done by Awful Announcing because it’s absolutely repulsive what’s happening. This bothers me for so many different reasons. Many people don’t know this but growing up I was told to go be a gym teacher. The reasoning? Well, I just didn’t have the correct last name. Is that really the society we live in? That talented people aren’t being hired because they don’t have the correct last name?

I would love to enter the mix for the Red Sox job. They won’t interview me because I don’t have the right last name. That’s the truth. It’s BS. What else can you say about it?

It’s been part of my mission ever since starting this company. I will make every single person regret the day they passed on Trey. We’re just getting started here and I promise that day of reckoning is coming. I promise you it’s going to be ugly for the rest of you when that day happens for the pain I had to endure for no reason.

These companies can obviously hire whomever they want. However, I think we really have to think about enacting laws to prevent this sort of thing. When is enough, enough? It’s time to put rules in place to at least expand the interview pool because rat kids get their jobs just because of who daddy is. It needs to stop.

Chris Simms shouldn’t have a job. That guy is dumber than rocks. Yet here we are. He makes millions to act like a dope because daddy got him a job. Does that sound fair to you?
