Andy Robertson is a huge piece of the puzzle when it comes to the Liverpool defense. He’s been a pain in the ass during my FIFA 20 career mode series for sure. Robertson has become one of the best left backs in the world. We’re currently in the thick of things with the transfer rumors flying constantly so it’s fair to question every player’s future. When it comes to Robertson, there’s no drama to report.

In the past, the Scottish International had previously said he would love to suit up for Celtic. That no long appears to be the case. Robertson now says he wants to end his career at Anfield.

“If you asked me when I was playing for Hull if I wanted to go back and play for Celtic, then I would have said that 100% I wanted to play for my boyhood club,” he told The Lockdown Tactics podcast.

“But now I’ve found my home at Liverpool and I love playing for this club. If I could retire at Liverpool, then I’d bite your hand off for it now. Playing at this club is amazing. To play in front of the fans every second week at Anfield is incredible.

“When I was younger, I wanted to play for Celtic and give my best years to Celtic. I didn’t want to be hanging on and going there at 33 or 34 when I knew my best years were gone.

“It might be something I’ll need to think about at some stage. I still follow Celtic and they still have a place in my heart.

“It would be hard to say ‘no’ but, if I did have the option of retiring at Liverpool, I’d bite your hand off for it — and I’d probably sign the contract now.”

Robertson, 26, is currently worth over $70 million on according to Transfermarkt. Liverpool has gotten their money’s worth and more from Robertson. They paid less than $10 million to secure him from Hull City. Now we know that if it’s up to Robertson, he’s not leaving.
