Andre Iguodala continues to give his teammate Steph Curry immense praise
Longtime Golden State Warriors forward Andre Iguodala continues to give Steph Curry high praise after his continued dominance in the league. Iguodala compared Curry to Jesus Christ himself, according to theScore.
Iguodala originally joined the Warriors in 2013 before again re-signing with them in 2021. With the Warriors, the NBA legend has won all four of his NBA championships — 2015, 2017, 2018, and most recently, in 2022.
Iguodala made an appearance on talented media personal and former NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe‘s podcast. The podcast “Club Shay Shay” is where Iguodala made the comments on Curry.
Iguodala made comments comparing Curry to Jesus Christ.
“When I signed with the Warriors (in) 2013 – and you do the press conference, you say what you’re supposed to say. PC. ‘I’m coming here to try to win a championship.’ Nobody takes you serious but I’m saying to myself, I think I’ve met the closest thing to Jesus Christ,” Iguodala said, via theScore. “Not to put that on him, but I’ve never seen an individual… he doesn’t stray away from who he is in terms of who he is as a person. So you know what you’re getting night in, night out. And I can see it. And so I’m thinking, I’m about to go try to win a championship.”
This will be Iguodala’s last season in the NBA as well as last season playing with the great Curry. After a historic career with the Warriors, 76ers, Nuggets and Miami Heat, Iguodala announced his retirement in September last year on his Twitter.
