Amsterdam’s Iconic Foodhallen
Foodhallen is the perfect destination spot for a friendly dinner in Amsterdam. It’s a convenient spot and easily accessible by all transportation with over 10 restaurant options and many bars scattered around the hall. This will certainly be a memorable dining experience for all customers. Walking in, you’ll see hundreds of people by the bar, getting food at a stand, or sitting down with friends. There are food stands all along the side of the walls, with cuisines ranging from Indian to Vietnamese. Right in the middle are long benches and tables to seat crowds of people. There are even more seats up the stairs!
Foodhallen’s typically bustling on a Friday and Saturday night, so be prepared to look for seats while your friends grab their food and drinks.
It has restaurants from cuisines all over the world. My first stop was Vietview, a Vietnamese street food stand. My favorite was the banh mi: It was crispy, light, and clean! What’s best about Foodhallen is that when you want to mix and match cuisines, you can go to multiple places for different parts of your meal. For example, I went to Dim Sum Thing, a dim sum place, to get an appetizer and then to Taqueria Lima, a Mexican place, to get my main dish. It’s a foodie’s dream!
Searching for a place to sit can be a bit difficult after you grab your meal. I suggest getting a friend to grab a seat while you order. Once you sit, you can also grab drinks from the bar in the middle of the hall! Service is also simple and easy as you can leave your things once finished for someone to tidy up.
If you ever find yourself in Amsterdam, make sure to check out Foodhallen for a perfect night out with friends!
