There is going to be a lot of mouths to feed in Dallas. CeeDee Lamb joins Michael Gallup and Amari Cooper in what makes up one of the best wide out groups in the league. Will any players get mad about a lack of targets with so many options on the field? Amari Cooper said he’s happy with the CeeDee Lamb addition.
“I think it was a great pickup,” Cooper said, via Todd Archer of ESPN.com. “You have to draft the best player on the board. Everybody understands that. He’s a great receiver. I think with me and Michael Gallup going for 1,000 yards last year, the expectation is to have three 1,000-yard receivers this year.”
“I think he’s a quick learner,” Cooper said of Lamb. “He already has a good foundation. He’s fundamentally sound in his route running. It’s very small, nitpicky things that I help him with that I may see with him being a rookie, but I think he has a really good foundation.”
I have talked about this a bunch on the fantasy show. Somebody is getting left behind. Yes, they should all want 1,000 seasons but C’mon. Dak Prescott threw for close to 5,000 yards last year. I’ll take the under. Factor in that Blake Jarwin is going to be involved and you already know that Zeke is getting his touches.
I’m glad Cooper had the take that he did. You take the best player on the board. It would have been irresponsible of Dallas not to pull the trigger on Lamb who should have gone much higher in the draft. To get Lamb at pick 17 was obviously a huge win. My takeaway from the draft goes back to Dak. How many toys does this guy need?
