Allen Lazard agrees to Four-Year $44 Million deal with the New York Jets

With Aaron Rodgers possibly joining the party, the New York Jets are doing the most to please him, including hiring Nathaniel Hackett. The New York Jets are signing Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard to a four-year deal worth $44 million, according to Jordan Schultz.

The deal has $22 million guaranteed, with more details to come.

Lazard spent his full career with the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers. He spent five years with the Packers before now moving to New York. In his career in the NFL, Lazard has accumulated around 2,300 receiving yards, 20 touchdowns, and 169 catches. Out of his totals, Lazard had his career-best season in 2022. He had career highs in catches (60) and receiving yards (788), Lazard also had a career second-best six touchdowns in 2022. Lazard will join fellow receivers Elijah Moore, Corey Davis, and 2022 offensive Rookie of the Year Garrett Wilson in New York.

Last season, the Jets had an up-and-down year. They started with a 7-4 record in hopes of returning to the playoffs, but everything crumbled from there. The Jets would go on to lose six straight games thanks to QB play from Zach Wilson. With the Jets going all in on this upcoming season, they have a lot of potential to shock people again. The additions of Rodgers, Lazard, and more players will uplift their team and morale after a disappointing end to the 2022-23 season.
