Alex Smith, who should be the Comeback Player of the Year this year, lead one of the biggest upsets against an undefeated team. The Steelers, who were 11-0 lost to the Washington Football Team in week 13 of the NFL season. Alex Smith talks about

“We’re so young that you have to have wins like this to learn from them and know you can do it,” Smith said. “You don’t get that confidence without having done it. So for us, I think a big win that we’ll take with us, knowing we can go on the road and play with anybody.”

Alex Smith is right, this team is crazy young. Their defense has potential to be one of the best in the league one day, granted they keep everyone. Wins in general are big for young guys, but road wins will be the biggest confidence booster.

“This was a big test,” Smith said. “Could we come on the road, with an undefeated football team in their place, and get a win like this? I’m really happy for our guys.”

Even though their record is 5-7, the Washington Football Team still have a legit chance to win the NFC East. They are currently tied for first with the Giants who had an impressive win over the Seahawks in week 13 as well.

Washington will have 4 more games to try to win the division, however, it might not be easy for them. They will play the 49ers, Seahawks, Panthers, and the Eagles to close out the season. Luckily, the Giants have a harder schedule to finish out. They play the Cardinals, Browns, Ravens, and the Cowboys. Neither the Cowboys nor the Eagles are entirely out either. They finish with the Ravens, Bengals. 49ers, Eagles, and the Giants. The Eagles finish the season with the Saints, Cardinals, Cowboys, and Washington.

It’s going to be one of the best division finishes of the season for the worst division.
