AEW Rampage is set to feature some interesting action. Former World Champion, Jon Moxley, will be in action along with Wardlow returning to the ring. We also have a couple of feuds that are being settled in the ring as well on this episode of Rampage.
AEW Dynamite was a lot of fun and one of their better shows in recent memory, so it is going to be interesting to see if AEW can follow that up with a good episode of Rampage.
Nevertheless, here is what to expect heading into AEW Rampage.
Wardlow last wrestled about a month ago when he lost his TNT Championship in a triple-threat match to Samoa Joe. Since then, Wardlow has made his intentions very clear. He is far from done with Joe and has shown that in recent weeks.
This is likely going to be a tune-up match for Wardlow. Typically, when AEW advertises someone as “in action” they face a jobber in a squash match. But after what happened to Chris Jericho on AEW Dynamite, who knows what will happen?
Britt Baker was delivering a promo on AEW Dynamite this week but was interrupted by Skye Blue. Blue wanted to see if Baker can wrestle as well as she can run her mouth. Now, the two are set to meet face-to-face inside the squared circle.
Blue is one of AEW’s younger talents who has a bright future. She’s been wrestling a lot but has yet to see any real opportunities for a title in the company. On the other hand, Baker is a former AEW Women’s Champion and has established herself as one of the best wrestlers on the planet.
Will Skye Blue pull off an incredible upset or will Britt Baker prove the women’s division still goes through her?
These men have been at a crossroads for the past few weeks. Trent Seven recently arrived on the scene when Kip Sabian got to choose Orange Cassidy’s opponent last week on AEW Rampage. On AEW Dynamite, Dustin Rhodes challenged Seven, Sabian, the Butcher, and the late to a match on Rampage.
So here we are, which side will get revenge and prove they are better than the other?
Sammy Guevara and Moxley are in two groups that have a rich history, so it makes sense that the rivalry lingers on.
On AEW Dynamite this week, Guevara challenged Moxley to a match after Moxley attacked Guevara last week. Moxley accepted the challenge and now the two will go one-on-one on AEW Rampage. Moxley is a former AEW World Champion and Guevara is a former TNT Champion, so both men know what it takes to win the big one.
While no titles are on the line in this match, this one is more about a grudge. Guevara is looking to score a massive win for his career, while Moxley is just looking to beat the hell out of a punk kid. It’s also going to be interesting to see how these two men’s styles clash. Guevara is a high-flyer, while Moxley is a grounded wrestler. So which style will gain the upper hand?
