NFL Draft Stock Report: Senior Bowl (1), (2), (3), Game

Peebles, 23, a redshirt senior, was a three star recruit out of the state of North Carolina. The Raleigh native spent four years at Duke before finishing up with the Hokies. Peebles has only been a starter for one years but was impactful for three of them including his last year as a reserve.

His final year with Duke, Peebles notched 43 tackles, 2 PBUs, FF, 9.5 TFLs, and five sacks in what included a Third-team All-ACC selection. Then this past year, Peebles made First-team All-ACC after recording 31 tackles, 6.5 TFLs with 3 sacks, 3 PBUs.

I don’t have a ton on Peebles during the year. VTech was a tough watch, minus the game against Miami. One thing about Peebles is that he does have odd measurables for the position. He checks in at 6-foot, 282, and 31 inch arms. I wonder if teams use him on early downs at DE and the interior on third down.

The pre-draft process was pretty solid. Not world beating stuff, but mostly good. Ran pretty fast at the Combine. He’s definitely not a bad athlete and has a bit of burst to his game. Just don’t expect him to be a powerful wrecking ball at the next level. He’s definitely not clumsy either. Had his fair share of moments at the Senior Bowl as well.

You can’t have enough fat guys up front. I like Peebles as a late round pick to be part of a rotation.
