Paul George Calls It Destiny To Team Up With Kawhi Leonard On Clippers

The Los Angeles Clippers had a media day to introduce Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. It was amazing to watch. Steve Balmer is fired the f*ck up, Kawhi Leonard is taking shots at the Lakers, and Paul George is going voodoo destiny theories on us. There’s so much to include here so I won’t waste any time.

What a lunatic Steve Balmer Is. We need more owners like this. Screw money, this guy just wants to win. I need an uncle like this. What a jolt of energy this guy brings. What’s even more hilarious is he is the polar opposite of Kawhi Leonard.

“I remember I was in Indy when we drafted Kawhi,” George said, referencing when the Indiana Pacers selected Leonard with the 15th overall pick in the 2011 draft before sending him to San Antonio in a trade. “I was a little confused by it because I was the 2-guard and Kawhi was the same position and I was a bit nervous for the competition that was coming.

“But fast-forward, knowing that the player I am and the player he developed into, I wish we would have kept that pick and we could have [grown] together. … It seems like this was destiny that we were supposed to play together.”

Imagine being the guy that traded away Kawhi Leonard for George Hill. I don’t think I would be able to look myself in the mirror. I would go to sleep embarrassed and ashamed for the rest of my life. Imagine If the Pacers actually had both of them? Indiana probably whips out those Heat teams with LeBron too. Back to back years, the Pacers drafted those guys. Unreal. I’m a big conspiracy theory guy. Maybe they are destined to play together. Let’s be honest. Who’s beating this team barring injury? Also, you have to love Kawhi. The line about not having social media so he couldn’t thank the Raptors fans is so funny.

10:30 minute mark in the video.

“As far as the last few years, the Clippers have been better,” Leonard said. “But it’s the media, they’re going to get the attention, they’re the Los Angeles Lakers. They’ve been winning championships for a long time.

“Even if we do win, who knows how the coverage will change over. I just want to win. I do things that make myself and my teammates happy. Whatever is our goal in mind, that is going to be my focus and drive to make us happy. If we go to the championship and win and get no coverage, I’m happy with that.”

The more Kawhi speaks, the more I love him. This guy doesn’t give a dolphin’s ass about media coverage. He doesn’t care what you or I have to say. That’s my kind of dude. Leonard is right. The Clippers have been better recently. Name the last time the Lakers did damage in the postseason? Over the last 5 years, the Lakers have the worst record of any Western Conference team. Take a second to think about that. So when rat face Rich Paul calls the Lakers – Jennifer Lopez, it shows truly how delusional he is. Also, super disrespectful towards JLOW. I couldn’t be more in on the Clippers. Put a title on the board right now.
