Stop the presser. Hold on to your pants. We have breaking news, folks. Noted scumbag, Kareem Hunt has found a new home. Well, not a nice home anyway. The Cleveland Browns have stepped up to the plate and signed Kareem Hunt. Shocker, John Dorsey signs – drafts another asshole. Nothing new to see here.
The Browns put out a press release to announce the agreement:
“My relationship and interaction with Kareem since 2016 in college was an important part of this
decision making process but we then did extensive due diligence with many individuals, including clinical professionals, to have a better understanding of the person he is today and whether it was prudent to sign him. There were two important factors: one is that Kareem took full responsibility for his egregious actions and showed true remorse and secondly, just as importantly, he is undergoing and is committed to necessary professional treatment and a plan that has been clearly laid out.”
John Dorsey has a history of this. This is the same guy that drafted Tyreek Hill and Jevon Belcher. He will roll the dice on
From a football standpoint, this is really interesting. As a rookie in 2017, Hunt led the NFL in rushing with 1,327 yards. He will now pair with Nick Chubb who was by far the best rookie running back in 2018. Chubb rushed for 996 yards as a rookie but averaged 5.2 yards per
The Hunt / Browns pairing is one that makes some sense. Dorsey drafted Hunt during his Chiefs tenure as a GM. Hunt also went to school at Toledo and is from the Cleveland area.
From a fantasy standpoint, things get tricky. Who is the number one back? How many touches does Hunt steal from Chubb and vice versa? Who gets the red zone touchdowns? So many story lines to keep track of moving forward.
