Indianapolis Colts 2018 NFL Draft War Room

The Indianapolis Colts suffered a lost season of sorts in 2017. The face of the franchise, Andrew Luck, did not play the entire season after dealing with a lingering shoulder issue. Luck is supposed to be healthy in 2018 but we can’t be so sure. If Luck is good to go, the Colts have a chance to really uplift their franchise with the ability to overhaul one of the worst rosters in the entire NFL. What can we expect from the Indianapolis Colts during the 2018 NFL Draft?

The Colts have already traded down from three to six in what was a brilliant move to collect three second-round selections. With teams doing whatever they can to find their quarterback, the Colts already have one which makes life so much easier. Indy will likely have one of these three players to choose from (Saquon Barkley, Bradley Chubb, or Quenton Nelson) Hell, they could trade down again and maybe wind up with Denzel Ward, Roquan Smith, or Minkah Fitzpatrick. It’s really a matter of who they prefer and what player will become available? The good news is that quarterbacks are expected to go first, second, and third overall. If another one goes at four or five, Indy’s move to trade down will look even better.

Re-Drafting the Top 15 Selections of the 2017 NFL Draft

The top of the second round is a place where the Colts really need to hit it big. Can we please get Andrew Luck some help? A second-round running back would be nice. Maybe Derrius Guice is their guy? A Guice and Marlon Mack duo sounds nice. Could Will Hernandez become available at the top of round 2? Regardless, Indy’s offensive line is putrid outside of center Ryan Kelly. This is your chance, Indy. How hard can it be to put a competent roster around a quarterback who went 11-5, 11-5, and 11-5 with nothing around him?
