You’re really going to do your homework on this one. Do you know any avid UAB football fans? The main strain NFL Draft people are lying if they saw they put significant man-hours into UAB games. That being said, the program has a sneaky running back that might be worth your attention. Let’s go over the 2023 NFL Draft profile for DeWayne McBride.

As I said earlier, I don’t have any stock report notes on McBride. They’re not really a priority for me on a Saturday during CFB szn. That’s just me being honest. That’s why Trey is better than all these other NFL Draft people out there. I don’t give you lies.

The problem is McBride has some many red flags that it’s hard to really talk yourself into even taking a further look. McBride had five fumbles this past year which should be deemed as completely unacceptable. If he does that in the NFL during his rookie season it’s straight to the bench or the street. We’re talking about NINE fumbles over the last two years. I don’t care who you are. That moves me to automatically out territory.

We also have no 40 time or 3-cone time. I just don’t think McBride did himself any favors during the pre-draft process. An electric combine workout or standout college All-Star game performance would have gone a long way. McBride did neither.

If you’re looking for positives, the production was really good last year. McBride rushed for over 120 yards in all but one start. Might be a tick undersized but has a good blend of speed and power. 20 bench press reps is a promising sign he’s committed to staying strong.

I’m just not sure there is much room to get excited here. Is there anything more than maybe a Marlon Mack type future here? That’s what I see. For me, he’s undraftable with a possible preseason invite.
