Resident Evil 4 Remake set to feature iconic villain – Rumors

Resident Evil is one of the biggest gaming franchises on the market. The popular survival horror series has been a fan favorite since its original release back in 1996, boasting plenty of beloved characters in the franchise. Now, in the new Resident Evil 4 Remake, villain Albert Wesker could make a return. The upcoming game has many gamers excited, but this rumor has Resident Evil fans specifically intrigued. 

This rumor arose after Wesker was listed on the Resident Evil 4 Remake IMDb page. The page has actor Connor Fogarty, who voiced the character in past games, returning to voice the character.

Wesker was listed on the website’s page, but the character is no longer listed. Though IMDb may not be the most accurate source, the Wesker rumor is still compelling for fans.

Wesker is an antagonist in the franchise, and he was even in the original Resident Evil game. The character has since been in multiple games throughout the series and has a relationship with another huge fan-favorite character, Ada Wong.

It will be interesting to see if this rumor is true as this opens many doors to further explore Wesker’s character.

The original Resident Evil 4 game released in 2005 and it was monumental. It was a huge game for the survival horror genre, and it greatly popularized the over-the-shoulder third-person view.

Overall, it was fantastic, with a good mix of horror and action as the shooting mechanics in Resident Evil 4 would be mimicked by many other future games.

Now, almost 20 years later, gamers are getting a remake on next-generation consoles. Capcom struck gold with this historic franchise, and they will hopefully continue producing great games. The last main series game was Resident Evil: Village which came out in 2021.

The Resident Evil 4 Remake is set for a release date of March 24, 2023, and it will come out on the Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
