Le’Veon Bell Set to Make Pro Boxing Debut Against Uriah Hall

Former NFL running back Le’Veon Bell will make his pro boxing debut against ex-UFC fighter Uriah Hall on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva, according to Marc Raimondi.

The bout will be four rounds and will be fought at 195 pounds with neither fighter being allowed to weigh over 200 pounds. In the bout, each fighter will wear 10-ounce gloves.

This match will be each fighter’s professional boxing debut. Bell does have one exhibition boxing match under his belt as he knocked out Adrian Peterson in Sept. 2022. Prior to that bout, Bell announced that he would not play in the NFL in 2022 and he shifted his focus to boxing.

“As soon as Most Valuable Promotions approached me about joining the Paul-Silva pay-per-view, I told them I want in and didn’t care who the opponent was,” Bell said. “Uriah Hall is going to feel my punching power and tap out like he’s getting submitted. He is not built like me.”

Bell was a three-time All-Pro running back with the Pittsburgh Steelers. In total, Bell played eight seasons in the NFL. In that time, he rushed for 6,554 yards and 42 touchdowns. After leaving the Steelers, Bell played for the Jets, Chiefs, Ravens, and Buccaneers. In those years, he was far from his top form.

Bell will have a lot on his hands when he enters the ring with Hall. Hall may be making his professional boxing debut, but he has years of fighting experience. Hall has accumulated a 17-11 MMA record. 19 of these bouts came in the UFC. In his career, Hall has displayed terrific kickboxing. On The Ultimate Fighter Season 17, he gained notoriety in the MMA world when he knocked out Adam Cella with a spinning hook kick.

Hall is unretiring to take this fight against Bell. Thankfully, Hall has not been out of competition long as he announced his MMA retirement in August of 2022. At 38 years old, he is not too old either.

Jake Paul vs Anderson Silva will take place in Glendale Arizona on October 29. At this point, Bell vs Hall will likely be the co-main event.
