Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett wasted no time whatsoever getting back to his bad habits. Paddy is said to already weigh in at 200 pounds since he submitted Jordan Leavitt at UFC London. This being his second time (that we know of) that he has broken the 200 pound mark, with the first time making an incredible cut to make weight for his bout against, you guessed it, Jordan Leavitt. Many fans continue to be shocked as they watched him cut and make weight because in other scenarios, some fighters miss their weigh-in limit by going over — a good example being Charles Oliveira getting his belt stripped for missing weight.
Paddy was backstage at UFC San Diego when he stated, “I’m about 200 [pounds].” He later disclosed that he would be taking his weight more seriously as his career progresses against higher-ranked fighters. He told the reporters on ESPN 41, “When I’m a little older and I start fighting ranked opponents, I will keep my weight down, but for now, I enjoy putting on a little chub rub on.”
When asked what was next for “The Baddy”, he responded, “Everyone wants to fight me, lad.” Following up with, “They all got less than 100,000 followers, and I’m at 1.8 million or something. That’s why they want to fight me. I’m also not a very scary dude. I don’t look that intimidating, lad. So people think, ‘Oh, I can beat him.’ And when you get in the cage with me, and you’ve got to solve the puzzle, you can’t.” (h/t MMA Junkie) As far as him calling any fighters out, he’s said nothing yet, but does reveal a location and date he prefers for his next bout. “I think I’m going to fight in Vegas. That’s what I’m hoping. I’ve seen the card get slated for December 10.”
