The long awaited – and expected – transfer of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City has been completed, with official confirmation expected this week, as first reported by international football insider Fabrizio Romano.
The 21-year-old forward’s salary with City will not exceed Kevin De Bruyne’s salary of £375,000 per week, per Romano. He will also sign a five-year deal ending in June 2027 as to not ruin the club’s current wage structure.
Haaland has scored 85 goals in 88 appearances for Borussia Dortmund in nearly two and a half years at the club. Along with PSG forward Kylian Mbappe, Haaland has been one of the biggest and most sought-after commodities in the football world, and City have won the race for his services.
