Jesse Marsch Should Be Fired For His Ted Lasso Comments
Be curious, not judgemental. New Leeds United head honcho Jesse Marsch apparently didn’t get the memo.
Marsch recently made negative comments about Ted Lasso for bringing a negative stigma to American soccer coaches. Marsch, 48, replaces Marcelo Bielsa, who was sacked on Sunday. Maybe Bielsa was the right guy for the job after all. Because if there is one thing that’s obvious, Leeds United hired a dope.
Leeds should take away Marsch’s key card to get into the facility yesterday. Not because he spoke out against Ted Lasso. It’s the way he did it that should get him fired:
“I think there’s probably a stigma. I’m not sure ‘Ted Lasso’ helped. I haven’t watched the show, but I get it,” Marsch said.
We do get how insane this is, right? Guy has an opinion on something he hasn’t seen. Tell you what, that’s a new one… just kidding. Spend five seconds on social media. You will find plenty of uneducated people.
Marsch tipped his hand. Leeds hired a dope. Anybody who has a strong opinion on something they’re not educated to speak on is a moron. “I haven’t watched the show”. That’s not a leader. That’s a man who’s scared he’s portrayed in a way he doesn’t think he should be. Those comments do the opposite.
I use to not like asparagus. Then one day I liked it because I tried it. Maybe Marsch should do the same with Ted Lasso. OR at least become knowledgeable enough to form a respected opinion.
If I were a Leeds player, I’d request a transfer immediately. If I were the owner of Leeds, I’d have no choice but to fire the guy. Congrats, Jesse Marsch. The entire world now knows you suck. Good luck guiding a bottom tier Premier League team back to relegation.
