Seriously, what does Aaron Donald have left to prove? He’s got a fantastic case to be the greatest defensive player in NFL history, he’s arguably the best player in the NFL (If not he’s at least top-three). His career is everything of a Hall of Fame one, even though it has been relatively short.

He’s a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, and that number is only that low because of voter fatigue and other storylines are fun. He was the Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2014. He has been a first-team All-Pro every year except his rookie year (That’s seven straight years baby). He has made the Pro Bowl every year of his career. He has been the definition of dominant. If you look up elite in the dictionary, a picture of Aaron Donald shows up. He made the All-Rookie team, he’s a member of the NFL 2010’s All-Decade team, what else does he need to prove? Nothing.

Matthew Stafford Is Not A Hall Of Famer, Stop The Madness

This Super Bowl is not what pushes Donald into the Hall of Fame, he was heading there regardless. This is more just a personal thing, something to say “Hell yeah I did it all.” It’s for self-satisfaction. Donald could retire and be the greatest defensive player of all time, but I hope he doesn’t because he’s that good and fun to watch.
