Arsenal Are Getting Their Own Amazon Series and It Just Makes Sense
Arsenal Are getting their own Amazon series and it just makes sense. Amazon is going to send a film crew to the London club as a part of their documentary series: All or Nothing. The series will be available sometime in 2022, but it will follow the club’s journey this offseason as well as their regular season schedule.
With the partnership announced, the club released a statement earlier this morning:
“As well as capturing the highs and lows of life at the Emirates Stadium and our training centre, the All or Nothing cameras will follow our squad away from the pitch to examine the daily challenges faced by elite athletes, the work we do in our local and global communities and what connects the Arsenal family and our special club.”

Despite the club’s lack of success in recent years, including their failure to secure European competition – the Champions League or Europa League – during the 2021-22 season, both parties seem excited about the potential for the show.
Mark Gonnella, the media and communications director for the club, had this to say regarding the collaboration.
“We are looking forward to giving our fans around the world a unique insight into how we work day to day. We have one of the biggest global followings in the game and one consistent thing we hear from fans is their desire to see more about what happens behind closed doors at the club.”

The head of UK Originals, Amazon Studios, Dan Grabiner reverberated that same sentiment saying:
“Arsenal is a historic club going through a fascinating period, and we can’t wait to take viewers behind-the-scenes on the journey of this crucial season.”

Now, I’ve got to agree with Grabiner here because the amount of potential drama and chaos we could see throughout this documentary series is fantastic. You’ve got an underwhelming manager – thus far – in Mikel Arteta, and while I do believe that he will succeed at the club when given a bit more time, many are hoping for him to get the boot this season. There is always pressure to win at Arsenal, but this season it is paramount.
For all my American friends, this will be very similar to the Dallas Cowboys getting the nod for this year’s Hard Knocks. Two clubs with an impassioned, but obnoxious fanbase. Two teams with loads of trophies, but a string of failures in the past decade. Both appear to be stuck in neutral every year, and the fact that two of the largest streaming services on the planet silently agreed to televise this much drama is a blessing.
While this will be a documentary series, I really hope this plays out like a reality TV show, but I’ll take whatever crumbs Arsenal and Amazon give me. It will be interesting to see how the locker room reacts to both the highs and lows within an always uncertain Premier League run. The Gunners will certainly provide their own content, and we get to enjoy it all.
