This is also his second year without McVay, and in Goff’s first year without McVay, his rookie year, Goff was horrible. McVay masked his shortcomings, but they are about to be on display. Amon-Ra St. Brown says he is going to take someone’s job, but that is not unexpected given the lack of receiver talent in Detroit.
Goff might be close to last for me in fantasy for QBs. Sure, the Lions will be bad and will have to throw the ball to stay in games, but to whom will that ball be thrown? Goff is already horrible, so Detroit’s roster is not a recipe for success nor fantasy success. If Goff was available as a fantasy QB, I might take a backup over him. Do not invest in Goff.
