Jarred Kelenic is ready to help Seattle win a championship
Jarred Kelenic has been in the news quite a bit over the last few days. More recently, there have been rumors that he is fed up with Mariners Management. While there are some things about the rumors that could be true.
There are some things in Kelenic’s statement that have not been told. Such as the fact that he’s ready to bring a Championship to Seattle and End the Mariners 10 year playoff drought.
“The reason I was so disappointed and frustrated about this whole thing,’’ Kelenic told the paper, “is that everybody already knows there’s a gap between the front office and players. When something like this comes out, it makes that gap bigger. “It makes winning that much more difficult. I thought we were in a positive direction with the team moving forward, building a culture, and when this comes out, it widened that gap.”
“Kelenic says he’s now “more motivated” to try to win a championship in Seattle, but it’s clear it’s going to take more than an apology to repair the damage that’s been done.”
So Kelenic did admit that he is frustrated, but he also posted this on his twitter:
Whether or not the rumors are true. I’m going to believe the Twitter post more than the media, because these words above are coming directly from Jarred himself.
The Mariners organization and management have already done the apologizing they needed to do after former CEO and President Kevin Mather’s comments. Now it is time for them to do the right thing.
Should the Mariners bring Jarred Kelenic up even though he hasn’t played more than 21 games above Double-A?
The Answer is YES. The Mariners now owe it to Jarred to have him on the opening day roster. He’s taken the appropriate steps to be in a spot where he can help the team win at the age of 21. Let him help bring a championship to Seattle. He wants to.
