Paul Pogba Calls It A “Dream” To Play For Real Madrid

Paul Pogba is addicted to the drama. That’s what happens when super-agent Mino Raiola is tasked with being your agent. It feels like Pogba’s name is always in the rumor mill, and most of it is self-inflicted.

Pogba is currently away on international duty, so that means drama was always going to come calling. The French International and current Manchester United midfielder called it a dream to suit up for Real Madrid. Oh, boy!

“Today, I am still at Manchester United and I am fighting to try to take the club even higher,” Pogba said Thursday when asked about a move to Real Madrid. “We have all heard these things that have been said. What to respond? Yes, all footballers would like to play for Real Madrid. Maybe it is a dream. It is a dream for me, why not one day? As I have said, I am at Manchester United and I like my club.”

Pogba, 27, has just one year remaining on his contract with Man U. As of now, there doesn’t appear to be any traction on an extension. Man U also recently added Donny Van de Beek and Bruno Fernandes, creating a crowded midfield. Maybe Pogba moves on after all?

Real Madrid feels like they’re waiting in the weeds. Madrid didn’t make any significant purchases during the most recent transfer window. They also ended up selling more than $100 million worth of players, including Sergio Reguilon, Achraf Hakimi, and Oscar Rodriguez. Could Real make a play for Pogba and maybe even Kylian Mbappe?

This isn’t the first time Pogba has been linked to Real Madrid for what it’s worth. Pogba has a great relationship with Real manager Zinedine Zidane.

I wouldn’t count out a reunion with Juventus, either who Pogba had a lot of success with before moving to the Premier League. Pogba is a terrific player, but given the dysfunction at Man U, anything is possible.
