Pascal Siakam Is A Max Contract BUM

Pascal Siakam stinks. That’s the post right there. I’m not sure I’ve seen a max contract player look worse in a 7 game series. (Charles Rex Arbogast/Associated Press)

Pascal Siakam, more like P U Siakam, Ami-rite? You want to talk about a complete and total fraud. That’s Siakam to a T. I’m not sure I’ve seen a more lifeless performance over seven games in a series other than the player that shall not be named. I don’t want to get too ahead of myself.

Before the start of the series, I was watching the pregame for ESPN. Richard Jefferson said that Pascal Siakam is better than Jaylen Brown. I laughed at his idiocy and made sure to make a note of it in the podcast. I’m just disappointed my guy Jarrod didn’t side with me.

Fastforward to the 3:30 mark.

I thought about comparing the numbers between Jaylen Brown and Siakam. I’m not going to do that because it’s disrespectful even to consider that Siakam is in the same ballpark. What I’ll do instead is provide numbers for how terrible Siakam was in this series. Of course, Brown was the primary defender who got a good chunk of it.

Siakam in seven games against the Celtics: 14.9 points on 38.2% shooting.

But wait… there’s more!

Siakam wasn’t just bad; he was historically bad. The former first-round pick from New Mexico State shot 4-of-32 (12.5%) from beyond the arc. Nobody has ever done worse in NBA history. Siakam somehow exceeded players that shall not be named bad.

Can we be honest about what Siakham is? He’s a small ball five that really can’t create anything in the half-court. Nobody is scared of his jumper, and teams can slow him down when viewed as the number one option.

I watched every second of every game in this series; Siakam has nothing. It’s all 75 MPH meatballs down the middle of the plate with no signature move. The guy has NOTHING.

Did Siakam have ONE good game in this series? Scratch that. Did he have one average game? Forget about Jaylen Brown. Daniel Theis is better than this max contract bum. $130 million flushed down the toilet as far as I’m concerned. The man can’t play.
