2026 Four-Star Quarterback Helaman Casuga Commits To Texas A&M

Mike Elko has set his sights out west for recruiting, and it is already paying dividends, as 2026 four-star quarterback Helaman Casuga announced yesterday his commitment to play for the Aggies. This is the second high-profile prospect they have nabbed from the West Coast. The final three for Casuga were Texas A&M, USC, and Washington.

Helaman Casuga, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound prospect out of Draper, Utah, is ranked 13th in the country at his position, and the number four player out of the state of Utah. Here is what he had to say about joining Mike Eklo and Texas A&M.

“I’m not sure how to summarize my visit to Texas A&M except by using the word wow,” Casuga said following that trip. “The entirety of College Station seriously shuts down and the energy the fan base brought was unbelievable. Having the legendary Johnny Manziel in the house added to the hype making it the most electrifying game day experience for me so far.

“Meeting with coach Mike Elko and coach Collin Klein was everything I expected — top notch. My family means everything to me and having them with me was my highlight. Some of the things that stood out for them was how nice the people were especially the Aggie staff.”

Helaman Casuga makes the second high-profile quarterback to commit to Texas A&M, joining 2025 five-star prospect Husan Longstreet, who recently competed in the Elite 11 Finals. With the commitment from Casuga, the Aggies now have the 13th-ranked recruiting class in 2026, with their 2025 class being ranked eighth. It would appear that Elko has the Aggies trending in the right direction with recruiting and the team’s play on the field.
