2025 Top OT David Sanders Jr Commits To Tennessee

The nation’s highest-ranked Offensive Tackle prospect now has a home in 2025, as David Sanders Jr. announced his commitment to the University of Tennessee. Sanders, out of Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina, announced the decision yesterday. He becomes the second-highest ranked prospect in school history behind 2009 Running Back Bryce Brown. Sanders also had offers from Ohio State, Georgia, and Clemson just to name a few.

Josh Huepel has been on fire on the recruiting trail as of late. David Sanders Jr. is the third-ranked overall prospect in the 2025 class and bolsters a recruiting class that was already in the top 10 in the country. Huepel will also be bringing in one of the top Quarterbacks in the class four-star recruit George MacIntyre. I’m sure MacIntyre is grinning ear to ear knowing his blindside will be protected by the best Offensive Tackle prospect in the country, as well as the other recruits that Huepel as been able to swing in this class.

Sanders Jr., the reigning Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of North Carolina, could vie for playing time early, which would be huge for the Vols’ starting Quarterback Nico Iamaleava. Iamaleava will be looking to establish himself in the 2025 season as one of the premier Quarterbacks for the 2026 NFL Draft, and having someone like Sanders Jr. on his blindside could play a huge factor in not only his success but the team as a whole. Tennessee also has received commitments from Five-Star Offensive Tackle Douglas Utu and Four-Star Offensive Guard Nic Moore. This Offensive Line is set up for long-term success on the back of an extremely strong 2025 recruiting class.
