John Sterling suddenly announced his retirement after over 35 years of calling Yankees games on the radio. Sterling, who called over 5,000 games during his time, has a voice and plenty of calls that will go down in Yankee history forever. His presence will surely be missed, and Yankee baseball surely won’t hit the same without him.
In other news though, Kenley Jansen becomes another pitcher to openly speak out against the pitch clock. Indicating that this debate won’t be ending anytime soon. However, I don’t expect it to change in favor of the players’ union anytime soon.
