Antonio Pierce Is A Dope And Will Fail With The Raiders
When the Raiders hired Antonio Pierce, I had my concerns. In the few weeks that have gone by since It’s more and more obvious that I should trust my gut on this. Antonio Pierce is a complete and utter dope who is destined to fail.
The more Pierce speaks, the more evident it is that he won’t succeed.
I keep hearing Pierce talk about the Raider way. I’ve seen it a bunch of times and I’ll just list one below.
The only problem is it’s pretty apparent that Pierce has absolutely no idea what the Raider way is. In fairness to Pierce, he wasn’t alive when the Raider way was invented. The only thing the Raiders have done since Pierce has been alive is lose. The guy really has zero clue what he’s talking about.
You want to talk about the “Raider Way”. Let’s talk about it.
A: The Raider way doesn’t exist right now. The last time they won a Super Bowl was 1983. They have two winning seasons since 2002 when they last appeared in the Super Bowl. The brand is strong. The on-field product is not. The Raider Way is about the emblem and the Silver/Black.
B: The Raider Way is about team building. To build a team on size and speed. It’s about being dominant on both lines of scrimmage. It’s about having a quarterback that can tilt the field. It’s about having vertical wide receivers that can stretch the field. It’s about game management and complimentary football. It’s about the old Dodgers and Yankees while being intimidating coming off the bus.
ETC… ETC… ETC…
Do me a favor. Find me one quote where he mentions any of that. You can’t because he doesn’t understand it.
I haven’t even gotten to this “Mahomes Rules” which are just so brain dead. We have an NFL head coach running his mouth about a quarterback who just won his third Super Bowl. Not just is running his mouth but is doing so on Maxx Crosby’s podcast.
What gives this guy the authority to run his mouth like this? Dude, you’re not even a real coach. You’re a motivator. Not calling the offense. Not calling the defense. Just a big-mouthed idiot. Why would you want to give Mahomes bulletin board material while you suck and have no quarterback?
Did Pierce forget about the 31-17 game that he lost to the Chiefs or is he pretending that one didn’t happen?
Mark my words. Pierce will fail and will lose his job. Only to have Telesco take over while having the ultimate get-out-of-jail-free card by being hired after Pierce had the job.
