Apparently, we have not seen the last of Thad Castle. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, go watch Blue Mountain State and thank me later. If you’re already a Blue Mountain State fan, you are about to get the best news you have ever heard.
Guess what?
Chicken butt?
No, that’s a different joke.
Blue Mountain State is so back and it’s eventually getting a sequel.
“Cult college football series Blue Mountain State is making a comeback. A sequel to the 2010 comedy recently hit the TV marketplace, with Reacher’s Alan Ritchson set to reprise his role as Kevin “Thad” Castle. The original series’ co-leads Darin Brooks and Chris Romano also are expected to be back for the followup, from Lionsgate Television.”
“According to sources, the project has not fully landed yet with negotiations ongoing. The likely destinations are said to be Amazon, where Ritchson headlines hit series Reacher, and Netflix, where Blue Mountain State found new audience and cemented its cult status following its original three-season run on Spike.”
Alex Moran and the mascot are reportedly back for the new project too. Who knows what the new series will be about? Hopefully, it means coach Thad whipping the boys into shape in the raunchiest way possible. I’m here for all of it. My only request is that the new show is better than the movie. The movie was absolutely terrible. That’s the only part to be slightly concerned about.
