Why You Should Buy Stock In Kyle Pitts Going Into 2024

In case you haven’t heard, the Atlanta Falcons finally wised up and fired their moron of a head coach Arthur Smith. This brainless dope decided it would be a good idea to use the freak athletes on his offense as decoys, essentially hampering their development and the betterment of the team as a whole. But one clear winner is coming out of the Smith firing: Kyle Pitts.

For my money, Pitts is the most dynamic player on the offense and he was underutilized the most. With Smith gone and the Falcons likely going QB in the draft, the time is now to buy stock on him.

Let’s look at his career numbers:

  • 2021: 17 games, 68 catches, 1,026 yards, one touchdown
  • 2022: 10 games, 28 catches, 356 yards, two touchdowns
  • 2023: 16 games: 51 catches, 640 yards, three touchdowns

This is the same guy who almost set the rookie receiving record for tight ends with over 1,000 yards. If you read his scouting report, you know that Vendetta was all in on Kyle Pitts coming out of college. If you are a believer in trends, Pitts is due for four–or more–touchdowns in 2024.

That would signify year-over-year growth. Pitts has limitless potential as a route runner and receiving threat, and he showed flashes of that potential this year. Keep in mind, that Pitts is just 23-years-old, too.

Let’s look at the quarterbacks that Kyle Pitts had to deal with; he started with 36-year-old Matt Ryan, who was a complete statue in the pocket and had begun the rapid decline. In 2022, he dealt with both Marcus Mariota, who was NEVER going to be a competent starter in the NFL, and rookie Desmond Ridder, who we all knew sucked.

This year, he caught passes from both Ridder and Taylor Heinicke and you never really knew who was starting each week.

He somehow managed to finish as TE14 with abysmal play from his QBs and an HC who hated his guts for some reason. There is all the reason to believe we are in store for a really solid 2024 from Kyle Pitts, and I would be looking to buy my stock early in dynasty leagues on Pitts before it’s too late.
