Tyreek Hill: ‘I’m light-years ahead of where I was’ in Kansas City
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has torn the NFL up once again this year, posting over 1,000 yards across just eight games. Currently, the veteran wide receiver is on pace for over 2,000 yards–breaking the single-season receiving yards record. During this historic season, Hill says he is light-years ahead of where he was back in Kansas City.
After being traded away from Kansas City only two years ago, Hill has been on a mission to prove all the doubters wrong. Well, Hill has proven all the doubters wrong this season.
“I know a whole lot more now, whether it’s doing stuff off the field or just being in the locker room with the guys trying to be a leader. I’m light-years ahead of where I was back then (with Kansas City),” Hill said after Sunday’s 31-17 win over the New England Patriots.
The 29-year-old wideout has caught 61 passes on the year for 1,014 yards and eight touchdowns so far this season.
“It feels great,” Hill said. “I’ve been calling my shot since I came to the league. A lot of people doubted me (and) said I couldn’t do this, couldn’t do that, but it’s all about believing in yourself.”
Miami is en route to make the playoffs for the second straight year in a row. But the Dolphins haven’t been on the lucky side of the postseason recently. Miami hasn’t won a playoff game since the year 2000.
The Dolphins arguably have their hardest matchup this next week. Playing their AFC foes; the Kansas City Chiefs in Germany at 9:30 a.m. EST on Nov. 5.
