Dan Le Batard Is Robbing DraftKings Blind

Someone needs to explain what Dan Le Batard brings to the table? I really don’t get it. I just did a post on how bad nepotism is in the sports world. One could argue that what Dan Le Batard is doing is worse. This man is stealing money from DraftKings and nobody is talking about it.

In 2021, Le Batard signed a three-year deal with DraftKings for $50 million. Someone needs to explain to me why Le Batard is worth that outside of the fact that he used to work for ESPN. Outside of that fact, this guy brings absolutely nothing to the table. There are people in jail who have done less than what Le Batard gets away with on a daily basis. Just straight up stealing money and DraftKings still hasn’t taken away his key card.

DraftKings Needs A New Director Of Content

Just go to the DraftKings YouTube channel. Most of his live shows get about one thousand viewers. The individual clips from his show struggle to crack 100 views. As the owner of a sports media network, I can promise you that he’s driving basically zero revenue with those types of numbers. We have several videos on our YouTube channel that outperform his show while receiving zero investments and a fraction of the overall subscribers.

I’m being dead serious when I say this. DraftKings is paying LeBatard $50 million over three years. To say that he’s even provided $1,000 of revenue seems high based on the traffic he’s providing.

Maybe DraftKings doesn’t care. Their betting platform makes so much money that they can afford to throw some in the trash. Just as long as they know that’s exactly what they’re doing with Le Batard.

Side note: Le Batard’s rant (which was perfectly covered by Ryen Russillo) was as pathetic as it gets. It’s one thing to not pull numbers. It’s another to be an uneducated fanboy. That’s exactly what Le Batard is. It’s not a surprise that his traffic numbers are low.
