Bundesliga Sunday Recap: 6.7.20

There were only three Bundesliga games this Sunday. Here is a Sunday Bundesliga recap.

Werder Bremen vs. Wolfsburg (0-1)

Bremen had an early attempt in the sixth minute. Theodor Gebre Selassie tried to head the ball in from a corner but missed to the left.

In the 12 minute, Wolfsburg had two attempts on goal. Josip Brekalo tried from outside of the box and missed. Then Wout Weghorst tried to get the ball into the bottom right corner, but it was saved.

In the 24 minute, Bremen finally got another attempt when Joshua Sargent tried a shot. However, it was blocked.

Four minutes later, Wolfsburg had a similar encounter with a blocked shot.

Bremen got a shot in the 31 minute. Yuya Osako tried to get the ball into the top left corner, but it was saved. Milos Veljkovic tried a minute later and missed the goal.

Bremen got in two more shots in the first half and Wolfsburg only got one.

Wolfsburg came out early in the second half with an attempt by Weghorst. He tried to head the ball into the goal but it was blocked.

In the 82 minute, Weghorst finally got a goal for Wolfsburg. Felix Klaus provided a cross and Weghorst was able to get the ball into the bottom left corner.

Bremen had 53.5% of the possession for the game. They also got in 13 shots, while Wolfsburg had 17 shots.

The game ended 1-0 for Wolfsburg.

FC Union Berlin vs. Schalke (1-1)

Berlin came in early to the game. In the fourth minute, Yunus Malli tried to get the ball into the bottom left corner.

In the ninth minute, Berlin tried again for a goal. Anthony Ujah tried to get the ball into the goal with a header, but he missed.

However, in the 11 minute, Robert Andrich got a goal for Berlin. Andrich took a left-footed shot from the center of the 18 and got the ball into the bottom right corner.

Berlin got in four more attempts until Schalke finally got a chance on goal. In the 28 minute, Jonjoe Kenny took a right footed shot from outside of the box. He was able to bury it into the bottom left corner.

Two Berlin players (Christopher Trimmel and Andrich) were awarded yellow cards in the first half.

Both teams were able to get in one more shot before the half ended.

Schalke had 53.2% of the possession for the game. They only had four shots for the whole game. Berlin was able to get in 13 shots.

The game ended in a tie of 1-1.

FC Augsburg vs. Cologne (1-1)

Cologne came in early with a shot in the first minute of the game. Jhon Córdoba had a right footed shot from the left side of the box that was blocked.

Augsburg quickly followed with two shots on goal quickly after. Marco Richter missed following a set-piece. Ruben Vargas took a shot to the top left corner that got saved.

By the 14 minute, Augsburg was able to get in five more attempts on goal.

A minute later, Cologne player, Benno Schmitz, was awarded a yellow card for a bad foul.

In the 17 minute, Cologne finally got another shot. Ismail Jakobs attempted a header that went over the goal.

Eight minutes later, Mark Uth (Cologne) was given a yellow card.

In the 27 minute, Augsburg was awarded a penalty kick. Florian Niederlechner lined up for the shot. He took a right-footed shot to the bottom left corner. It was a great opportunity, but it was saved.

Augsburg got in five more attempts on goal by the end of the half. On the other hand, Cologne was only able to get in one more.

In the 46 minute, Cologne came out strong. Rafael Czichos attempted to bury the ball into the left side of the goal but missed.

Raphael Framberger (Augsburg) received a yellow in the 51 minute.

In the 85 minute, Cologne finally scored with Anthony Modeste. He received a back header then volleyed the ball into the goal.

Three minutes later, Augsburg tied the game back up. Philipp Max received a cross within the box and shot on the ground to the far corner to get the ball in.

In the 90 minute, Jonas Hector (Cologne) received a yellow card.

Cologne had 50.8% of the game possession. They had nine shots on goal, while Augsburg had 16.

The relegation game finished 1-1.
