Adam Copeland (Edge) Debuts At AEW WrestleDream

On this day, we in fact can see him clearly. Rumors have been swirling since his contract expired with WWE just a few months ago that we would see Adam Copeland FKA Edge make his debut in AEW. Tonight at the company’s WrestleDream PPV, he came out to a thunderous ovation. Edge is one of the most beloved characters in professional wrestling history, so his making the move to All Elite Wrestling must come as a bit of a shock, as he did mention that WWE did not decline his contract terms.

He debuted after the main event which saw Christian Cage defeat Darby Allen in a hellacious two out of three falls match to retain the TNT Championship. Sting came to the aid of Allen as he was being assaulted by freshly turned heel Nick Wayne and Luchasauraus. It makes sense for Adam Copeland to debut and immediately enter an angle with Christian Cage, as the two were longtime tag team partners for WWE. This makes for a seamless transition for Edge and gives him a great opportunity to show the AEW audience his skillset.

Wrestling fans all over the world were treated to a fantastic AEW WrestleDream card, and Edge debuting at the end truly puts the cherry on top of this sundae. The possibilities for Adam Copeland in AEW are endless, and I am sure we are in store for an excellent first feud between Edge and Christian Cage. AEW has been on fire over the last year or so, putting on incredible pay-per-view after pay-per-view, and adding someone with the star caliber as Adam Copeland is only going to make that flame grow higher. What an incredible time to be a professional wrestling fan.
