Quinshon Judkins Expresses Concern Over NFL RB Market

Quinshon Judkins is a stud and was one of the best freshmen in college football last year regardless of position. Judkins will likely be the first or second running back off the board for the 2025 NFL Draft. During SEC Media days in Nashville, the Ole Miss product wasn’t shy about sharing his thoughts about what’s going on with the running back market at the NFL level.

Judkins showed concern over what’s happening with the RB market and expressed his desire to be a do it all threat to increase his value.

“That’s why I’ve improved my game as far as showing what I can do in the passing game,” Judkins said Thursday during the final day of SEC media days. “I have a lot of receptions, a lot of passing yards. I can not only be used in the backfield, but I can also be used in the slot as well.

“So you can put me all over the field no matter what you need me to do as a playmaker. I think that as far as the next level, the way they’re doing those guys is because I feel like you can only do so much at that position because of the guys who are in the league and dealing with those situations.”

“I just want to be seen as a guy who can really do it all,” he said. “You don’t have to just run the ball with me, rushing. You can use me all over the field. I can throw the ball, catch it, whatever you need.

“I’ve seen the things that they’ve done with the running back position and the contracts and the things in the NFL that the running backs are dealing with.”

Judkins did do it all last year and was so good he essentially stole Zach Evans’ job which was frequently mentioned in the stock report notes last year. Judkins was just a three star recruit out of the state of Alabama, but put on a show in his debut season with Ole Miss. Judkins rushed for 1,567 yards on 274 attempts while also punching home 15 touchdowns. Judkins also added 132 receiving yards to his stat line too. He’s expected to man the load again in 2023 heading into his true sophomore season.
