Harry Kane latest: PSG to battle Bayern for Tottenham star

PSG has entered the race with Bayern Munich to secure Harry Kane‘s signature this summer, according to sources from ESPN.

Earlier reports suggested that Kane is eager to join Bayern Munich and has no intentions of extending his contract with Spurs. However, PSG has been actively engaged in talks with Kane’s brother and agent, Charlie, for several weeks, indicating their strong interest in the England captain.

In the pursuit of bolstering their attacking options, PSG is also monitoring Napoli’s Victor Osimhen and Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani. PSG is prepared to spend €100 million, which could increase further if Kylian Mbappé departs for Real Madrid amid contract disputes with the club.

Although Kane’s preferred destination appears to be Bayern Munich, PSG is ready to step up their efforts by offering more money to Spurs and attempting to convince the striker to join their ranks. The French club is undergoing a rebuilding phase following Lionel Messi’s departure to MLS side Inter Miami this summer.

The club has already made significant additions in other areas, including the signings of Marco Asensio, Manuel Ugarte Ribeiro, Lucas Hernandez, Cher Ndour, and Lee Kang-in, along with the appointment of new manager Luis Enrique.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich has made two unsuccessful bids for Kane, with a third offer expected to be around €90 million, still falling short of Tottenham’s valuation of the player.

This is not the first time that the England Captain has been the subject of a transfer saga. It once looked almost certain that he was going to join Manchester City, and he has been linked with Real Madrid countless times. His departure would mark a stark reminder for Spurs fans who remember star players like Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, and Dimitar Berbatov departing the side in pursuit of silverware and European competition.
