David Ortiz Blasts Mike Fiers For Being A Snitch

Snitches get stitches. Regardless of how you feel about the Astros cheating scandal, it’s impossible to like Mike Fiers. He was in the middle of the cheating scandal, benefitted from it, got his ring, and then snitched. David Ortiz called him out for what he is. How come Fiers didn’t say anything when he was with Houston? Obviously, because he was just mad the team didn’t re-sign him.

“I’m mad at this guy, the pitcher who came out talking about it,” Ortiz said at JetBlue Park on Thursday. “And let me tell you why. Oh, after you make your money, after you get your ring, you decide to talk about it. Why don’t you talk about it during the season when it was going on? Why didn’t you say, ‘I don’t want to be no part of it? So you look like you’re a snitch. Why you gotta talk about it after? That’s my problem. Why nobody said anything while it was going on?”

Amen, David. Fiers acted like the 4th grader who cheated on a spelling test and then tattled on the kid he didn’t like after he already benefitted from it. That can’t sit well with anyone.

How David Ortiz, Hanley Ramirez Solidified Friendship Over Cheesecake

Manfred, in my opinion, has gotten way too much heat. If anything, I thought the punishment was too harsh. The Astros got hammered and no other team really got punished. They never really investigated any other teams when it wasn’t just Houston that was doing it. Numerous people lost their jobs. What more do people want?
