Money changes people. Someone couldn’t understand that the other day in our Slack site group chat, but I digress. The New York Jets are a dysfunctional mess. They don’t have any workable pieces on the roster outside of Sam Darnold, Quinnen Williams, and an injured CJ Mosley. This is one of if not the worst roster in the NFL. The funny part is Adam Gase doesn’t give two shits if the Jets suck. Not a single care in the world.
Adam Gase doesn’t care that the Jets stink because he’s rich. Hey, at least the man is honest. Here is the following from Manish Mehta of the NY Daily News:
“Adam Gase has a message for every long-suffering Jets fan, who has endured a lifetime of anguish: He doesn’t care about you. The Daily News has learned that the embattled head coach has privately told people for months that Gang Green diehards have never mattered to him. “I’m rich as f–k” has become Gase’s go-to line since taking over 11 months ago, according to sources. Gase has repeatedly said it to anyone that mentions the avalanche of criticism this year. It has become his defense mechanism. “He’s an insecure guy,” a Jets source told the News.”
I gotta be honest, I thought Gase would be slightly more competent than this. I guess I should have known from his psycho press conference. It turns out that Gase was holding Ryan Tannehill back. Not the other way around. I feel so bad for Sam Darnold. He’s so talented. I just want him to get the proper support he needs. It’s sad to watch. Nothing about the Jets right now is pleasant outside of Darnold and this entire team is bringing him down.
