Ronald Acuña Jr has been one of baseball’s best young players since he got into the league last year in April. To end his amazing 2018 season he beat out the Washington Nationals outfielder Juan Soto for the Rookie of the Year award and this year it looks like there’s no slowing up in his future.
Last year Acuña played in 111 games after being called up from Gwinnett and had a batting average of .293. Not a bad first year for a kid who couldn’t even buy a beer after winning his first MLB award. He finished the 2018 season with 127 hits, 26 home runs
This year the Atlanta Braves have clinched the NL East division on the 155th game of the season where it was only right that in that same game, the kid hit his 41st home run. Acuña has been more than great in his 2nd year in the league, currently hitting .279 with 41 home runs, 101 RBI’s and 37 stolen bases.
