Both coordinators are gone and we’re picking at the back of the back. Now comes the challenging part for Brad Holmes and the rest of the Lions front office. I know the Lions love to reach like a noob but that can’t be the case anymore. My goal here for the 2025 NFL Draft War Room series will be about laying out a plan in the mock draft simulator the Detroit Lions can rally behind.
We’re missing a five here but we also have an extra seven. Nothing crazy.
We’ll see what Lions’ fans think about this one. I don’t want to lay out all the spoilers but can we all agree that Aidan Hutchinson needs some help rushing the passer? If we can actually get a real defensive front, isn’t that a way to actually get this team over the top?
Beyond that, we still need help in the secondary. Add more corners to this team. Our offensive line is outstanding. That’s really good news. We also don’t need a running back but this class is so damn good that it can’t hurt to take one later on.
Again, I’m open to your comments. Let’s send in that feedback. Show more support and I’ll add additional rounds to the simulator for teams higher in the draft!
