2024 NFL Draft War Room: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccanneers enter the 2024 NFL Draft in a tough spot. This was a team expected to do nothing but somehow won the division and even a playoff game. Now we’re working with a flawed roster while picking at the back of the back. Good luck!
We’re going to do the best we can. I wouldn’t have paid Baker Mayfield, but I guess that’s their prerogative. The overall roster isn’t terrible but there are still holes that need to be plugged. We’re also kinda stuff in no man’s land. What the hell do you even do here?
Jason Licht has his work cut out for him. I don’t envy him. Especially to try to repeat as division champs after paying Baker while losing the OC that helped him revitalize his career. It’s going to take a strong draft to keep Tampa as the team to beat in the NFC South.
I don’t hate what we were able to come away with in this draft. It’s probably a team that should move down in case the paying Baker thing comes back to haunt them. Be in a spot to pick a quarterback next year and help yourself do it. Otherwise, this defense still needs some young talent. Pray wide receiver Mike Evans keeps being awesome and you have a shot.
