We are nearly 33 percent of the way through the 2024 NFL Season. Who are some fantasy football breakout candidates as we approach Week 6? Let’s dive into a few!
If you believe in due: Tank Dell is due. He’s currently listed as WR22 in standard formats (per Fantasy Pros), but has yet to finish inside the top-40 this season. Nico Collins will miss Sunday’s game due to injury, so star cornerback Christian Gonzalez is likely expected to match up against Stefon Diggs, which could open up the field for Dell. New England’s defense has offered a mixed bag of results this season, though I think this could be a week where Dell pops–again, he’s due.
We here at Vendetta are big fans of Bucky Irving. Sure, he’s been a top-25/30 fantasy back so far this year, but he’ll be getting his first start this week against a Saints defense that’s No. 16 in EPA/play and No. 18 in success rate against the run. He’s only produced one top-25 week this season, and I think this spot against New Orleans on 10 days rest could offer another positive result.
Given his pre-draft stock, it’s been a disappointing start to the 2024 NFL Season for Bijan Robinson, netting only two top-20 finishes through five weeks. He’s scored only one touchdown and has tallied just 52, 74 and 77 yards from scrimmage, respectively, the last three weeks. He’s due to break out against a disastrous Panthers defense, even though he still should be an automatic starter in every format.
Will the Colts fade continue its stride? Why not!
