2024 Fantasy Baseball OnlyFans: Relievers
Slowly and surely Vendetta Sports Media will establish itself as the premier go to site for fantasy sports. You can laugh at that statement all you want but the evidence doesn’t lie. I own fantasy hockey (RIP Sean Allen). Matthew Berry was embarrassed. In 2024 we’re throwing our hat in the fantasy baseball realm and the OnlyFans series will return to cover MLB.
For now, I don’t have anything against ESPN’s fantasy baseball department. Time will tell if that changes. In the meantime, I’m just going to give you sleepers (OnlyFans) for each position. These players in order to qualify have to be ranked outside the top 200 overall players.
*Link to ESPN rankings. They constantly change so don’t shoot the messenger if they’re updated after publication.
Garrett Whitlock (Boston Red Sox) -RP33, 211th overall
Not every reliever is the same. The hope is that the Red Sox are smart enough to figure out that he’s just best being left alone as this weird hybrid. Stop trying to make him a starter. When that happens, the results have always been good. On a best-case scenario basis, this is a steal if that plays out.
Robert Suarez (San Diego Padres) -RP34, 213th overall
The Padres claim that Suarez is going to be the closer. I think that is very much in a waiting-and-see approach. You don’t just replace Josh Hader (who signed with Houston). This is going to be a trial by fire. Yuki Matsui signed from overseas. Saves will be to have and one of these guys will win the job. Maybe take both and figure it out on the fly.
Hector Neris (Chicago Cubs) -RP37th, 225th overall
This one is more of a stealth approach. Neris signed with the Cubs this offseason. I’m just not sure why we have to sit here and pretend like he’s not their best reliever. Adbert Alzolay had a nice showing in his short stint as the closer last year. I just think his spot can be had by a rough April. Just stay on the lookout here.
Joel Payamps (Milwaukee Brewers) -RP41, 248th overall
Speaking of lookout, Devin Williams is very much hurt and we’re not totally sure when the Brewers are going to get him back. Payamps has gone from former Chaim Bloom waiver claim to an indispensable reliever. This was always the problem with Chaim’s theory. You can’t cheat the 40-man roster. It is what it is.
Anyway, before we get too sidetracked, Payamps sported a 2.55 ERA with Milwaukee last year. He’s going to be the closer until Williams gets back. Ride it while you can.
Yuki Matsui (San Diego Padres) -RP48, 276th overall
See the excerpt on Suarez above.
Brusdar Graterol (Los Angeles Dodgers) -RP52, 294th overall
This Dodgers team went banana land mode in the offseason and just got whoever they wanted. Evan Phillips had a fine year last year but this isn’t a guy that has a lengthy track record of success. Relievers are a tricky thing to figure out. Some go up. Some go down. I’m just not sure we’ve seen the best of Brusdar Graterol yet and if he seizes that number one job with the Dodgers, that’s going to be an insanely spot to be. I’ll take my odds it happens.
Will Smith (Kansas City Royals) -RP74, Unranked
The AL Central might end up being a pillow fight. I’m just not sure why anybody is counting out the Royals as the team that can win it. Wins can be had here and Smith is in line to be the closer. He’s been good before, just not all the time. There are worse bets than this one for free.
