2022 NFL Free Agency Tracker

The 2022 NFL Free Agency period is off and running. Since our interns are incapable of writing news posts (sad, pathetic, not okay) and the veterans aren’t around, I’m covering free agency by myself. All of the major deals will be tracked in this one post.

*This post will be updated throughout the day. Check back later for more updates!

Emmanuel Ogbah re-ups with the Dolphins for four years and $65 million. The news was reported by Adam Schefter of ESPN. Personally, I don’t love this move for Miami. Ogbah is a nine sack guy each of the last two years but was previously considered a bust pick by Cleveland. He’s a mediocre player without Brian Flores. Not a guy I would have paid that kind of money.

Alex Cappa to Cincinnati. Schefter also reported this deal. Four years and $40 million. Bit of a high price but the Bengals need offensive line help in the worst way.

The Dolphins are busy! Chase Edmonds is the newest running back in Miami. It’s a two year deal worth $12.6 million. Schefter had the news. Expect Miami to still draft someone with Edmonds having a major role.

The Dolphins made two more smaller moves on day one. Teddy Bridgewater comes in to be the backup. Cedrick Wilson also signs a three year deal too.

James Conner is back in Arizona. The team had this news. Conner was great for the Cards last year so it makes sense to bring him back. Likely going to be the workhorse until the wheels fall off.

Darko! Darko! Darko! Try to keep up. The Steelers have signed dog shit Mitch Trubisky to a two year contract. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network had this news! Will update as soon as the terms are official.

The Steelers also re-sign Chuks Okorafor and sign center Mason Cole to sure up the offensive line.

Seattle Keeps Quandre Diggs to a three year deal worth $40 million. Rap Sheet reported this one. Pete Carroll loves overpaying for defensive backs but has no interest getting proper value for a franchise quarterback. Rap Sheet also reported Larry Ogunjobi gets a similar deal from Chicago. Seattle is also keeping Will Dissly.

The Jaguars are making a flurry of moves. Foye Oluokun, Folorunso Fatukasi, and Brandon Scherff are heading the Jacksonville. That number one pick probably won’t be used on an offensive lineman at this point. Don’t forget about Christian Kirk and Evan Engram. Jacksonville is being uber aggressive on day one. Some overpays but that’s free agency.

The Jets landed Laken Tomlinson. Adam Schefter reported this story. Jets also add tight end CJ Uzomah.

Roger Saffold is headed to the Bills. However, they cut Daryl Williams. Not a ton of cap space and a shaky offensive line that needs work.

JC Jackson heads to the Chargers on a big money deal. $82.5 million over 5 years for the former Patriots corner. Not sure I like this deal. Jackson has been a proven big time player. Hard not to worry about a defensive back leaving Bill Belichick. They never seem to be better after they leave. Rap Sheet had this story.

Carlton Davis back to Tampa. 3 years $45 million. Fair and easy enough. Schefter with the news.
