2021 NFL Draft War Room: Houston Texans

2017 NFL Draft
Heading into the 2021 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans have more questions than answers. That includes Deshaun Watson. (Elsa/Getty Images)

Yeah… I’m not even sure where to start here. Do I even have to waste my time doing this post? Houston has no first or second round pick during the 2021 NFL Draft. There’s not going to be a ton to review here. This is a franchise that has screwed themselves. No other way to say it. The curse of Bill O’Brien will live on forever. Laremy Tunsil should have a statue outside the stadium in Miami. Here is your Texans 2021 NFL Draft war room.

  • Round 3: No. 67
  • Round 4: No. 109
  • Round 5: No. 147, No. 158 (from Patriots)
  • Round 6: No. 195, No. 203, No. 212
  • Round 7: No. 233

Soooo where do I start? Hey, the positive is that Houston doesn’t need a running back. With Mark Ingram, David Johnson, and Phillip Lindsay on the roster, there is no reason to pick one. That’s a plus!

I’m not even going to get into the Deshaun Watson stuff. Who knows, dude.

Maybe the Texans will target a receiver? Brandin Cooks is on his last legs. The other options on the roster include Randall Cobb, Andre Roberts, and Keke Coutee. Thanks, but no thanks. Marquez Stevenson could be an option. He played college football right in their backyard. Stevenson is a 190 pound speedster that could potentially replace what Will Fuller gave this offense.

I’m trying my best here, okay? Do the Texans even have to suit up next year? Why not just pack your bags and try again in 2022? Poor Houston sports fans. The Rockets are in turmoil too.
