2021 NFL Draft War Room: Detroit Lions

Do I even have to write this one? The good people of Detroit can’t catch a break. All of their sports teams stink. ALL of them. The 2021 Lions should be fun. Jared Goof, brain dead Anthony Lynn, and knee biter Dan Campbell. God, set up the cameras now. Let’s call it – Keeping up with the idiots. Let’s get this over with. Here is your Lions 2021 NFL Draft war room.

  • Round 1, Pick 7
  • Round 2, Pick 9 (41 overall)
  • Round 3, Pick 8 (72 overall)
  • Round 3, Pick 38 (101 overall)
  • Round 4, Pick 7 (112 overall)
  • Round 5, Pick 9 (153 overall)

No pick in the 6th or 7th rounds but Detroit did secure pick 101 for Atlanta hiring away Terry Fontenot.

Losing Kenny Golladay to the Giants sucks. Well, in fairness, the Lions could have just franchised him. Let’s ignore that part. Will the Lions feed Jared Goff to the Wolves and surround him with Breshad Perriman and Tyrell Williams? Ja’Marr Chase could be the pick here.

Chase is the number one receiver on my board and would be a tough player to ignore. The former LSU product is just a monster. He’s not as big as Calvin Johnson, but Chase is strong as hell. Lions fans have had their pride beaten out of them but at least could have Ja’Marr Chase to love.

Once we get past the first round, I find it hard to believe Detroit won’t screw things up. It’s too easy for them not to. Fine, I’ll be nice. What about Zaven Collins at Tulsa? Collins is a 6-foot-4, 260, small school linebacker that can get after you. Hand up, did not watch Tulsa this year but he’s drawn interesting comps. The Lions need all the help they can get.

Good luck to Brad Holmes. You sir have your work cut out for you. Are we sure this franchise isn’t cursed?
