2021 NFL Draft War Room: Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are a team that seems to be stuck in purgatory. Are they in on Drew Lock? Kam wrote the Broncos need to rid themselves of Lock. Maybe they do. Is Vic Fangio the right coach? What’s the Broncos’ identity? The 2021 NFL Draft hopefully answers some questions for an organization that needs them. Let’s head inside the war room.

• Round 3: No. 71 overall
• Round 4: No. 104 overall
• Round 5: No. 135 overall
• Round 6: No. 166 overall
• Round 7: No. 199 overall
• Round 7: No. 201 overall
• Round 7: No. 213 overall

Some extra 7th round picks but everything else is dead set center field.

I wonder if this is the Micah Parsons landing spot. It’s hard to see Denver pushing the chips in for a quarterback with a roster that’s not ready to compete. Lean on the edge rushing duo of Von Miller and Bradley Chubb. Let’s bring a linebacker that can be a disruptor. Parsons is without question the best LB in the class. If you don’t get him, you’re scrambling for middle of the road alternatives.

Does Denver trust Ju’Wuan James? I’m not sure they do after he opted out of the 2020 season. Could Denver draft someone like Spencer Brown? The Northern Iowa product has gotten some buzz. The Broncos could be seeking alternatives at right tackle.

I do wonder if the Broncos fish for a quarterback eventually. Could it be someone like Sam Ehlinger, Feleipe Franks, or Jamie Newman? Who knows.
